Fortress of Pain

Multiple meanings and hidden subtexts riddle this poem. Sometimes when I write I sheath my themes with more cryptic, metaphoric passages, while other times I bare the blade in its full shimmer. This poem has more hidden themes for me and I actually just recently finished writing it, as it had only a few lines for quite some time.
