A
child is born to fill the void left by another’s passing
He
is not human, he’s seen as less, to serve another’s bidding
Days
and nights press into one eternal night of bondage
His
body old, his soul is sold without his own consent
Escape
is futile, hope is fleeting, he’s dead if found alive
He
ceases to speak his own defense, he just keeps pushing on
The
dusty road a well known friend, his only friend at best
Beat
like a dog, spit on by friends, never does he cower
Bound
and imprisoned, left to himself, forsaken by all who once cared
Has
nothing but thoughts and memories, his death he knows is near
The
devil grins, his minions laugh, another man in ruin
Taken
by night, killed by day in ignorance and hate
As
his blood soaks the earth, he plots his own revenge
Vengeance
from the sepulcher, restitution from the grave
In
his case that which kills him only makes him stronger
He
sees reflections of his former self in the eyes of his executioner
For
they too under hands of death, must serve their master well
He
vows return, to reinstate freedom to those who are oppressed
As
for all who dominate man, his blood has stained their hands
They
will return, blood in hand, to that God that gave them death
