Crimson Hell

This is a poem I wrote several years ago. It intentionally ambiguous, or rather embedded with multiple interpretations and meanings for me.

Silken rays ride from a hazy moon.
Crimson hell. Asphyxiated dune.
Distant hues of blue behind its mask.
Dusty suffocation flies her past.

That lunar orb betwixt the fire and ice
Ushers out her solitary sigh.
Forceful breath of sand her lonesome rage
Ne’er a soul set foot inside this cage.

Luciferic heat upon her skin.
Fiery smiths that burn from deep within.
Air, as if a gently rolling sea,
Ripples with excruciating pleas:

“Rid me of my endless misery.
Seize this pain and set my body free.”
Futile are her weak and endless cries,
In galactic confines doomed to lie.
